Art Junction - Children's PartyBerkshire based Art Junction has been providing arts and crafts activities for children aged 1 - 11 for over 4 years. Art Junction offers a range of services including classes for children under 5, holiday crafts, family crafts, after school classes, parties and entertainment for children at other events such as weddings. A range of activities are included in the termly programme including painting, collage, clay modelling, mosaics, printing, decoupage and fabric crafts. Art Junction also regularly provides free drop-in craft sessions at local libraries.
Art Junctions classes are run in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with children at all sessions encouraged to create their very own work of art, but with friendly guidance from the class leader available at all times.
Art Junction has a small range of products available for sale including the very popular aprons with high neck, velcro back fastening and long sleeves with elasticated cuffs. T-shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts and caps are also available. A range of arts and crafts materials are also available.
There are 8 members of staff or volunteers in the growing team at Art Junction. Class leaders are required to be CRB checked, and first aid trained. Staff are also trained by the Art Junction team to deliver services to the highest standards incorporating the Art Junction ethos of encouraging the children to produce their own work under guidance, and always promoting self confidence and esteem through positive appraisal of the work. Art Junction has an expanding customer base, located in and around Maidenhead, Marlow, Bracknell, generated from the 6 after school classes, the pre-school class, parties and other events, holiday activities and free crafting at the local libraries. The company is owned and managed by Lynn Funnell who launched the business in 2004 offering just one session for children under 5 years. Having recruited session leaders and volunteers Art Junction is now able to offer a comprehensive range of services in Berkshire and surrounding areas.
