With over 100 years experience in the metalwork, welding and fabrication craft, Akeroyd and Topham Ltd manufactures high quality mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel fabricated products for customers of all types throughout the local area and the UK. Founded in early 1900's, the business is based in Bradford.

The Company recently located to a modern industrial unit to allow its continued expansion and offer improved bespoke services to existing and potential customers. Larger more complex works can now be undertaken, utilising the much improved work shop area and modern manufacturing machinery, which includes a 4m break press, 4m x 2m Plasma profiling machine and 3 tonne overhead crane. A design service which includes all necessary structural calculations is also offered.

With modern equipment and fully qualified staff, the company provides a professional design and manufacturing service to businesses and individuals. Current clients include Grattans, Next, Kone Lifts, Jacksons Lifts and Curti Lifts. The service is intended to meet the bespoke requirements of all customers, enabling clients to be confident of a speedy turn round of quality products and services.

Akeroyd and Topham, as well as being experts in high quality general fabrication, specialise in the manufacture of components for both the warehousing and the lift industries. Access equipment, Trolleys etc, as well as Lifting beams, loops, drill through sockets etc can be designed or manufactured to meet customer requirements. Packers, shims and fixings commonly used in the industry can usually be despatched the same day to save on site down time. The arranging and supervision of on site pull-out tests for unknown substrates is also included in the service offered.

A small but well established, qualified and very experienced team offer a complete service from design to delivery. Akeroyd and Topham pride themselves on the quality of their work and the fast turn around time of orders.

Akeroyd and Topham Ltd has an expanding network of clients, varying from international companies to smaller independent concerns, all requiring differing and individual levels of service.

The company is managed by a small team of like minded individuals who have been involved in running a successful Metal Fabrication concern for many years. The Board also includes personnel with experience of design, manufacture and commissioning in the specialist passenger vehicle and lift industries.
