Thankfully, he didn’t talk in technological jargon and he made comparisons with things I already know. He designed and set up my website, designed my logo and my business cards. It was actually very nice to get it all from the same person because then it’s a lot more consistent and I didn’t have to hunt around. Also, many designers charge hourly and you can never tell how much it will cost, whereas with Allan it’s a fixed price. As a start-up, I had a limited and final budget, so the fixed price gave me peace of mind. More importantly, in a way, is customer service. I am an email person and this really worked for me as Allan always responded promptly when I had any questions or requests, and nothing was too much trouble. I am now setting up a Facebook business page which Allan will also do as he has a lot of knowledge in this area. He was recommended to me by my accountant (who knows him from a networking group) and by the person I used for help with HR (who’s a customer of Allan). And if you are looking for someone for a website, designing business cards/logos, or with social media then I can wholeheartedly recommend him.

I therefore turned to him when I needed a new website, asking him to cooperate with my Graphic Designer. Not only did he create a great new site for me – at a fixed price – he is always happy to trouble shoot and to resolve any problems that I have: definitely a good guy and strongly recommended.
