Formed in 1993, Abacus School of Motoring has many years' experience in the driving schools profession, with the focus on providing quality driving instruction to local learner drivers throughout the Blackpool, Garstang and Fylde area. The school is based in Great Eccleston, making it ideally placed to cover all Fylde areas.
Enabling learners to gain a full driving licence as soon as possible, the school provides local people with good quality structured courses. With up to date training methods and a fully qualified DSA approved driving instructor, the service is intended to enable a first time pass.
Abacus School of Motoring is operated by John Guest who is a member of DIA (Driving Instructors Association), DIDU (Driving Instructors Democratic Union), ADI Federation, Local Blackpool ADI Association. John is a fully qualified ADI, with many years standing, with additional qualifications. Dedicated to teaching in a structured and enjoyable manner. All the latest training aids are used and constantly updated skills ensure customers have the best chance of a first time driving test pass.

Abacus School of Motoring are open for business from 8:00 to 8:30 Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 5:00 Saturday and are closed Sunday.

I had a excellent two and a half months being under John's guidence. I thought it would take me ages to learn to drive but John made it easy for me. Yesterday I passed my driving test. I was so made up to have passed and know that John played a really big part in making this happen.
John sent me information that would help me with my driving for example: roads signs, lane positioning, roundabouts and much more.
I would like to thank John for all his help and I will be taking up the pass plus option which John also does so I look forward to having more lessons with him.

John Guest enabled me to focus on the task in hand and gave very clear, professional instruction and kept me motivated. John was easy to get along with, the vehicle was lovely, I could not have done it without him. I fully recommend John Guest and the journey I made from Yorkshire was worth every penny. I took myself away from home on the intensive course and found myself paying a lot less than what I would have done just having 1 or 2 lessons a week and even passed within 3 days (I had also had some practice with family and friends). I fully encourage you to enrol with John be it locally to Blackpool or make the journey to Blackpool and chill out in the evenings, revise and don't have the worry about back home.
