A Barn Full of Brass Beds - BedsA Barn Full of Brass Beds specialises in the professional restoration of original antique brass and iron bedsteads. Situated just east of Louth, the capital of the Lincolnshire Wolds, Jonathan Tebbs and his wife, Naomi, work from their traditional farmyard. The barns are bursting at the seams with various Victorian and Edwardian designs, from the classic brass and iron bed, to a fairytale four poster or an elaborate half tester.
With a stock of around 200 original antique bedsteads, including English, Irish, French and Continental beds, their customers come from all walks of life though on occasion they have been amazed to sell beds to people such as Madonna, Emma Thompson and Warner Brothers for their Harry Potter films. Most recently they have restored some beds for The National Trust.
A full restoration service is also available for any bed in need of care and attention.
The Princess and the Pea (sister website) offers a range of bespoke handmade mattresses and bed bases. A custom made mattress or bed base can be ordered in any shape or size.
A personal delivery and installation service can easily be arranged throughout mainland UK.
A Barn Full of Brass Beds is owned by Jonathan Tebbs, who has been restoring antique brass and iron bedsteads since 1984. His knowledge of these beautiful bedsteads is in-exhaustible and his passion for his work is truly commendable.
