1.3 out of 5 | I ordered furniture online and it was received very quickly, however the leg on the coffee table was badly scratched. I sent 4 emails along with photos and eventually had to file a complaint via pay pal and then phone up to get a response. They agreed to collect the damaged item and only when they had it back would they send a replacement, meanwhile i was left with bits on my living room floor for a week while waiting for collection and then delivery of a new part. The replacement arrived very well packed, but again it was damaged worse than the first one! how could this happen with loads of bubble wrap protecting it?, i telephone 10 mins after receipt to be told that someone would get back to me and again sent photos showing the damage. I had to chase up and chase up till eventually they said they didn't know what to do as they said the part was ok prior to shipping. I asked if they were prepared to send a third and was told they had already sent 1 replacement and was asked if i would keep the damaged leg....sorry but would you pay £150 for a small coffee table that's damaged in such a way that it looked like it came from a car boot sale! and place it in your living room ? then NO im not prepared to have a damaged one I told them to collect the whole order the next day and refund me in full as i had been inconvenienced enough. An hour later after packaging the order up for collection I then received my FIRST CALL FROM THEM saying THEY WOULD NOW collect the 2nd damaged item the next day and again once they had it back would send a third. I gave this company plenty of chances to correct my order and argued 15 mins that i wanted the ALL the goods collecting the next day without fail and not just the leg, then to refund me in full and would not back down. I was told i would be phoned by lunchtime the next day to confirm collection....surprise surprise i again had to chase up to find out what was happening, only to be asked "did i still want the order collecting and that he hadn't bothered phoning the courier to sort the collection of the whole order. Arrgghhhhh i had already spent 15 min the previous day confirming this! The goods were then collected the NEXT day but now i had to wait a further day till they had the goods back to get a refund. I chased this up at 5pm after the goods had arrived back to them earlier that day and stated that i would stay on the phone till my pay pal account was refunded. The guy hung up the phone on me, how professional!!!! NOT VERY. I called back and spoke to another member of staff who told me that he had looked at the 2nd leg i returned and said there was nothing wrong with it!!! (so was this damaged in transit or is there idea of Quality is so low that several dints in a chrome leg is acceptable and this is how it was shipped out in the first place)? this guy didn't understand what my problem was. If these guys cant see substantial damage to a product then this worry' s me. I did ask at the start of my many phone calls if these items were spoils/seconds a but i was told they were not. Eventually i got a full refund at 1747hrs only after stating that at 1800 hrs i would escalate to a claim via pay pal & contact trading standards. I would also drive from Newcastle to Bolton the next day to demand my money back in person and advise prospect customers of the service i received. I'm so pleased i used pay pal to pay for this order as i believe if i hadn't then i would still be waiting for over £200 to be refunded. I would not recommend this company based on the disgraceful after sales i have received and the unprofessional ism of the staff who hang up on customers who only want there money refunded after returning damaged / faulted goods. Debra Back - 9 Feb 2008 | | | Company Response : In response to Deborah backs comments our response is as follows: We sent a coffee table to Mrs Backs who complained about marks on the legs. We sent here a replacement which was checked and inspected by our warehouse manager. Upon receiving this replacement Mrs backs again complained about marks. We as a company fully inspect all our glass coffee tables as well as all other products prior to dispatching them. On this occasion the same was done but however we could not satisfy a very argumentative and very particulate individual, who was extremely rude to all our staff members. In any event we fully refunded her account. We believe that we have an excellent after sales service and friendly staff and this is what we intend to deliver in the future. FurnitureInfashion is a leading supplier in Living room furniture and dining room furniture. We are number 1 in the UK for coat stands and room dividers. |
