The Village Guitar Studio - Music Tutor

The Village Guitar Studio specialises in acoustic guitar tuition for adults and children, including:
- Classical: from July 08, the new ABRSM guitar syllabus will be taught.
- Folk, blues and ragtime fingerpicking.
- Chord-based song accompaniment.
- Samba and bossa nova styles.
- Music theory.

The VGS specialises in teaching beginners of all ages with its own introductory curriculum. Children are instructed in a classical style using nylon-stringed instruments. Children’s tuition is set in a broad musical context, to establish a sound understanding of pulse, rhythm, and pitch.

Based in Victoria Park Village, the Village Guitar Studio has been helping students to achieve their guitar goals for fifteen years, with a hundred per cent record in examination passes for both adults and children.

Guitar studies at the Village Guitar Studio take place in an atmosphere of kindness, patience and good humour. References are provided testifying to the high quality of students' achievements. Students at any stage of accomplishment can benefit, either with a refresher course, or learning the guitar from scratch. Students' ages range from 5 to 75. Different lesson structures are offered, from one-to-one tuition, to groups. Courses are tailor-made to suit students' requirements.
