The Turner Centre is private counselling and psychotherapy centre, offering counselling and psychotherapy including CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) to individuals, couples, children, adolescents, families and groups.

The centre, which is based in the heart of Colchester town centre, has a large team of therapists specialising in a range of issues including; stress, anger, relationships, anxiety, panic attacks, bereavement and loss, life changes and sex problems.

Many of the therapists have undergone extra training and have specialist areas. These include;
-couple and relationship counselling
-sex therapy
-child and adolescent behaviour and emotional problems
-panic attacks and severe anxiety disorders
-anger
-phobias
-abuse
-post traumatic stress
-bereavement and loss and eating problems.

An assessment session with an experienced therapist will be offered within 48 hours of a request / referral and therapy can be started immediately, if it is felt to be the right way forward.

With over twenty five counsellors, psychotherapists and psychologists a large area of specialist help can be accessed. All therapists at the centre are registered with at least one of the main therapy organisations including the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, BABCP (Bristish Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies), UKCP (UK Counsellors and Pychotherapists) and BASRT (British Association for Sexual and Relationship Therapy) and adhere to their Ethical Framework and Good Practice. Being so central, The Turner Centre can be easily accessed from a wide area in and around Colchester and sees individuals from all walks of life.
