This Licensed Restaurant is a converted 16th century cellar that has been designed to create a stylish, comfortable atmosphere.

They offer a fine dine experience with a style of food that can be described as modern French. Located at The Knibbs, half way up Smith Street, they are ideally situated in the heart of the historical town of Warwick.

The new Chef / Patron of The Cellar Restaurant is award winning chef, Lee Kalaker. For the past 16 years Lee has worked in Michelin starred restaurants and 5-star luxury hotels alongside the likes of Raymond Blanc and Willi Elsner. Lee achieved 3AA rosettes in his first role as a Head Chef and this accomplishment is reflected in the execution and presentation of his food.

The seasonally led menus use only the freshest and finest produce, achieved through a carefully sourced mix of local ingredients and produce of the highest quality from the best French markets. Everything is made in–house, and accompanied with a select wine list. The dining experience is one to return for.

I live locally but wasn't actually aware of the Cellar restaurant until the TopTable email came through! It is well hidden, unsurprisingly in a cellar, and is a bit of a gem. The restaurant was a little quiet for a Thursday, but I imagine if they continue to serve food even half as good as what we were served, the restaurant will become fully booked every night! Every course was excellent, particularly the creme brulee. Excellent attention to detail - excellent service too!
