Founded in 1992, the business is based in Folkestone, but now covers the whole region.

With 23 (in 2007) friendly instructors and office staff, The Big Red L Company has a growing team of experienced and patient instructors. The Big Red L Company is owned by Tony Simcock who has been involved in the Driving Schools trade since 1990. Tony Simcock led the Company to become the first driving school in the UK to be awarded the title of Investor in People.
