Sparhams Decor - Antique
The range on display is chosen to fit timelessly into any period home and the owners take pride in finding unique pieces of furniture from the Continent and the UK. The pine furniture ranges from tables and chairs to food cupboards, dressers, trunks, wardrobes and chest of drawers, all hand finished in traditional wax or the classic French distressed paint style. To compliment their antique pine furniture Sparham's also stocks a small selection of reproduction French upholstered furniture including Louis XIV chairs and chaise longues. Smaller items in the impressive show includes lamps, mirrors, trugs, French fabric cushions, enamelware, pictures and picture frames. There is a wide selection of clocks from restored good quality antique slate, wood and porcelain mantel clocks to reproduction French wall clocks. Barry and Tracey invite customers to come and leisurely browse within the friendly atmosphere of their shop which is open from Tuesday to Saturday. There is free parking available for customers at the front of the shop, and free local delivery can be arranged when required. The shop is located in the small village of Broomfield approximately 2 miles from Chelmsford, the County Town of Essex. Sparhams Decor are ideally situated to serve all counties in the South East of the UK, including Essex, Kent, Suffolk and Hertfordshire. Staff are both friendly and helpful. Visitors are encouraged to browse the room regularly due to the rapid turnover in stock, and a small deposit is advised to secure desired items. Clients will find a tasteful range of furnishing and design ideas to meet all needs, from a French chandelier and beaded lamps to mirrors, antique clocks to leather suitcases, baskets and buckets to pretty jugs and vases. The company is owned and managed by Barry and Tracey Sparham who are specialists in antique pine furniture which has been sourced from the Continent. Pieces are restored and hand finished at the nearby warehouse where they take a genuine pride in ensuring the finish is to a high quality standard. They also stock a range of painted pine furniture in various designs and finishes from hand painted to crackle glazed.
