RLC Community Resource Centre - Community Centre

The RLC is a community resource centre, placed strategically within the heart of three boroughs, Barking and Dagenham, Redbridge and Havering, it seeks to develop projects that will serve and engage all members of the community. The services on offer are available to everyone irrespective of age, background or race.

As a Community Resource Centre, The RLC is actively involved in supporting family and community development initiatives, aid missions, poverty alleviation and educational initiatives locally and overseas. Its aim is to positively and practically impact generations and communities irrespective of race, age, religion or class. The RLC is an equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practice service provider. She aims to partner with local government authorities and other organisations that have a genuine concern for people and a practical desire to provide richer, more practical and affordable services at grassroots level.

The RLC is managed by Chuka Nwafor who has several years of field social work and fostering experience.

The RLC is run by members of the public, professionals and volunteers from a wide skill base. These are people within the community who have a strong desire to make a difference within their community. The primary focus of The RLC is to cater for the need of the people within its immediate community - Barking and Dagenham, Redbridge, and Havering Boroughs through the provision of children and family services, social welfare, and community development services. The services provided by the centre are founded on the principles of the recent Government Social Inclusion and Regeneration Initiatives achieved through partnerships between local governments and their communities. The aim is to engage with and develop members of the community in different spheres of life from personal, social, vocational, educational, spiritual, financial and economic perspectives.
