Music Optional - Band

Operating from Dunfermline and serving the central belt of Scotland, Music Optional provides band and other music services for weddings and other functions, and piano tuning and repair services. The company was established in 1989.

Sounds Braw ceilidh band is available for weddings, parties and other functions. The full band comprises two fiddles, piano and drums, and a smaller band can easily be arranged to accommodate the client's budget.

Live music on the small harp or clarsach is available for weddings and other special occasions. Organ or piano music is an alternative when appropriate. Baritone solos can be arranged if requested.

Piano tuning and repair services are available at short notice to clients within a reasonable radius of Dunfermline.

The company is run by Robert Douglas Kerr who has been involved in the Entertainment industry for many years. He is the Organist and Director of Music at Limekilns Parish Church, and a baritone soloist. He is also a pianist and harpist.

Music Optional is a member of the Musicians' Union and the Federation of Small Businesses.
