Heddon's Gate is a comfortable, secluded and tranquil country house hotel, offering spacious en suite bedrooms, fine food and wine and good company, with superb views and complete peace and quiet. Dogs are welcome, whilst children are generally not accepted. The hotel is in a magnificent setting on the side of the Heddon Valley, with easy access to footpaths offering some of the finest walks to be found anywhere.
The hotel has 10 comfortable en suite bedrooms, each with colour TV, telephone and hot drink making facilities. Most guests take dinner, which comprises a five-course meal plus coffee and chocolates at a very reasonable rate. Afternoon tea is included in this rate for half-board guests.
The hotel is owned and run by Eddie and Anne Eyles, who prepare all the food themselves. They have a passion for good quality ingredients and uncomplicated, balanced dishes cooked well. They will go out of their way to ensure all stays at the hotel are pleasant and relaxing, and are pleased to see many guests return regularly to the hotel.
