Peter and Elaine Oldfield thought that there might be many other people who, through illness, age or distance, might be unable to tend to the graves of their loved ones. Following her retirement from business administration, Elaine Oldfield thought that her love of flower arranging might be put to use as a service to these people who, at special anniversaries such as birthdays or Mothering Sunday, might wish the grave of the their relative or friend to be tidied and fresh flowers arranged for it.
With a small team of personable and sympathetic staff, Gild the Lily has a professional team, qualified in flower arranging and grave care. Helping clients to take care of loved ones graves throughout the year, staff provide friends and family with a professional service including photography of the grave if requested.
