Bury St Edmunds Theatretrain - Stage SchoolBased at County Upper School, Beetons Way, Bury St Edmunds Theatretrain is a Dynamic group in the performing arts sector giving professional training to young people aged 6 to 18 years old. Founded in 1993, Theatretrain has over 80 centres based throughout the Uk.
All students take part every year in Theatretrain’s annual run of shows either locally or in the West End. Performing in the West End gives these young people a chance of a lifetime to tread the same boards as stars such as Catherine Tate, Kate Williams, Frances de la Tour, Alfred Molina and Sir Derek Jacobi, who are all patrons of Theatretrain. They work hard and have lots of fun. Theatretrain schools have an open door policy with all abilities welcome.
Classes are held Saturday mornings from 10 am to 1 pm.
Classes are - 1 hour of dance - 1 hour of drama - 1 hour of singing.
Pupils are split into age groups - 6 / 9's - 10 / 12's - 13 / 18's.
