Kicki Hansard is a recognised doula with Doula UK and Certified doula with BOND and Nurturing Birth. Kicki has supported over 60 couples during births and the postnatal period and trained in the region of 150 doulas. She has attended births at various hospitals and even a special home birth at Windsor Castle. Kicki works as a Birth and Postnatal Doula but also offers private birth preparation evenings. Since September 2006, Kicki has been running Doula Training courses through Nurturing Birth and she really enjoys training aspiring doulas.
Apart from the initial BOND (British School of Nurturing Doulas) course Kicki has been to seminars with Ina May Gaskin, Penny Simkin and also spent a day in Sheila Kitzinger’s house on her “Birth crisis” workshop. Kicki feels honoured to have spent some time with these very inspirational women.
