I spent an idilic weekend with a group of 9 from North West Pilates Centre. Fantastic location in the south of France. We stayed in a stunning house and were fed beautiful home cooked food. Therapist was available to perform massages. My aromatherapy massage was out of this world. Nisha put together an absolutely brilliant set of classes which pushed us mentally and physically at the right time throughout the weekend. I have come home completely restored and feeling like a new women. Can't wait for the next one.

Having suffered from lower back pain for a number of years, I decided to be pro-active and enrolled on the 6 session introduction course at North West Pilates and Yoga Centre.

The course was split between mat work / stretching sessions with Sue, and reformer sessions with Nisha. Although different, I feel that both approaches actually complemented each other. The one to one classes were very helpful in order to understand my individual needs and also allowed me to understand the movements better.

I was initially concerned that the movements may actually cause me pain, but this has not been the case. I have felt no pain or discomfort as a result of the classes, and I can already feel the benefits with greater movement and rotation.

I am now also more aware of my posture and movements etc. and am trying to incorporate the Pilates principles into my everyday activities.

I am now part way through a 4 week reformer class. The class sizes are deliberately small, and allow what feels like one to one tuition.

I would recommend the classes to anybody who has suffered from back pain in the past, or for people who want to improve their overall posture and health.

Having taken up Yoga, Pilates and running all in the last 6 months I have a renewed vigour for fitness and feel the combination has helped me to become stronger and more lean and toned having lost 11lbs and dropped a dress size. The shape of my body has changed and I feel more lean and in proportion. The Yoga and Pilates are helping me to improve my strength and felxibility and I just love going to the classes.

I have been attending Nisha's classes for about 18 months and I am so impressed with the service and professionalism that Nisha delivers. I noticed my body changing and toning after each session and after 5 months I was doing moves I never dreamed I could get into.
I attended the 'Pregnancy and Back Care' classes throughout my second pregnancy and I really felt the difference between this pregnancy and my first. The breathing exercises really helped to relax me. I was prepared for labour, both in mind and fitness, and I have recovered quickly afterwards, with Nisha 'whipping' me back into shape. My son is now 3 months old and already I am regaining my pre-pregnancy figure. Thank you, Nisha.

Having taken part in many different forms of exercise over the years I was initially sceptical regarding how Pilates would benefit my body. I had a 1:1 session with Nisha and was very impressed with her knowledge and teaching skills. I have been attending the V2 Max classes for over a year now. I chose to join this class as the machines mean that you can't cheat and take an easy option with the exercises. I now have muscles where I thought I had none! I love the 1 hour class - it passes really quickly and I am always glad I have attended.
Nisha is an inspiration - we are truly lucky to have someone of her calibre in St. Helens

I've been doing Pilates for some years now - I'm also over 50 years of age! - it really helps maintain a level of fitness and is good fun too. The machines we use are excellent.

I've been coming to the class since the end of December 2009 (my taster session) and attend once a week. In the last few weeks some of work collegues have asked if I've lost weight, whilst I have watching what I eat I also feel the Pilates class has contributed to the new shape of my body. I can feel the weekly sessions have helped to tone and trim my body especially around my middle bit. Although some of the exercises are difficult at first I can honestly say I feel an improvement each week. Whilst watching supersize vs superskinny on Channel 4 last night, one of the presenters is on a weekly quest to get "the perfect body" . This week was targeting the stomach. She tried a variety of exercises and potions including stomach crunches, the kettle ball and laser treatment. She then tried a Pilates class and I was surprised to see her use the reformer. The exercises she perfomed were familiar to me so I began to take notice. She highly recommended the Pilates reformer for tightening stomach muscles and streghening the back. She then said she would go back again and take classses. I have nothing but praise for Nisha and the class. I've tried various exercise classes over the years and find this to be the most effective way to tone without straining/pulling muscles and without getting the dreaded "shin splints" I often got with other exercise classes.

I have attended classes at the North West Pilates Centre for 7 years, the longest length of time I've ever stuck at an exercise class. I think this is because I always feel re-charged at the end of a class, however challenging it is! The regular practice of Pilates and Nisha's expert teaching has ensured that I regained my core muscles following the birth of my 4 children.

I have been attending the North West Pilates Centre for several years. The level of teaching is exceptional. You can be confident that you are being observed closely to ensure you are using the correct techniques safely. I have friends who use other pilates classes in different areas - none of them compares to the quality of North West Pilates Centre. I can highly recommend this centre to everyone who wants to try pilates.

Pilates has lots of benefits for all ages and for me personally i feel more flexible, toned and relaxed. It gives you a great feeling of well-being. I would recommend anyone to give it a try, particularly on the V2MAX machines.

I have been going to the pilates class for a couple of years now, and find it to be an enjoyable challenge mentally & physically, and it gives you a great sense of well being after each session.

since i have been going to the class my back pain has been greatly reduced, and my strength and posture have been improved dramatically through the expert tuition of nisha.

Following a nerve problem in my neck and 9 months of intensive physio, the consultant recommended Pilates. I have been attending Nisha's class for just over a year (travelling from Skelmersdale) and have had no further neck problems. In addition my co-ordination balance and posture have all improved considerably as has my muscle tone. The session leaves me feeling very much 'in tune' with my body and I have a wonderful night's sleep.

Nisha is a very experienced and highly trained instructor, who always demonstrates an exceptional level of professionalism. The lessons always start and finish on time and are very informative as you move through the exercises. As I am pregnant, I wanted to keep up my level of fitness in a safe way. Nisha is not only helping me to achieve this, but I actually think I am fitter than before! Sessions are tailored to the groups needs and groups are small, meaning that Nisha can correct anyone whose posture is not correct, thus avoiding strains etc.

I look forward to the class all week. The new exercises really stretch me in mind and body I really like the calm breathing. Nisha is really good at changing the moves so we don't get complacent. I wish I could attend a class more than once a week.

I have tried all other forms of exercise in the past and i can honestly say that Pilates is the one that i actually enjoy attending, it has lots of benefits for all ages and for me personally i feel more flexible,more toned and it gives you that feeling of well-being. I would recommend anyone to give it a try and not become hooked on it.

I have been going to Nisha's classes for three years. I am a 53 year old male looking for an appropriate level of activity within a comfortable atmosphere and have found this with NWP. I find the class challenging and stimulating; my flexibility has improved and the twinges and strains from looking after horses each morning are easily absorbed. I would recommend this form of activity to anyone of any age.

I have been going to Pilate classes for the past five years under the supervision of Nisha. Nisha's expertise teaching ability has given me a more confident approach to life. Being a woman in my fifties Pilates has made me feel half my age, i feel toned shapely and more flexible. I've lost inches off my body due to the exercises which is a real confidence booster and no longer suffer from backpain, also i've noticed my stress levels have dropped and i have become more energetic which helps me with my job and everyday chores. I was advised to try Pilates some years ago because of a back problem. Nisha's sheer professionalism and contagious enthusiasm have helped me tone and firm my body and remove my back problem in a way I would never have thought possible.The V2MAX machine is a wonder which has improved and strengthened my deportment & balance exceptionally well. Highly recommended.

I have been attending Nisha's Pilates classes for a number of years now and certainly feel the benefit. Pilates is a whole body and mind workout. After each class I feel like I've really worked and am sort of at peace, which makes Pilates a great stress reducer. I'm much more toned, flexible and stronger. Since starting Pilates I definitely feel I have better posture and am less prone to injury. The exercises make you realise when you are standing or sitting incorrectly. Nisha is a brilliant teacher and knows her 'stuff'. We learn a lot about breathing techniques which I have found useful in everyday life, especially for de-stressing. I recommend Pilates to everyone, male and female.
