Job Overview

Day-to-day administrative tasks for the application (configuration, performance, fault management and handling).
Technical project management of releases and customer rollout (server and mobile handset sides).
Driving infrastructure expansion, forward performance planning and procurement (e. G. Hosting deals).

Duties and Responsibilities

To ensure the optimal performance of our clients IT infrastructure, including the delivery of IT to the business.
Dimensions of Role To be responsible for the administration of the internal (web site, email) and external IT (productive, test / development / demo) systems.

Skills / Qualifications / Experience Required

Person Specification Solaris / UNIX background predominantly.
JBOSS experience (this is an essential requirement for this role).
Clustering knowledge (Sun Cluster 3. 2, MySQL and Apache are used (NB: Veritas is not used).
Branded Zones (BrandZ) knowledge. Very strong, up-to-date skills are required in this Solaris 10 feature (it enables rapid build, consolidation and ease of administration).
Apache knowledge (this skill would be of benefit in this role).
German language skills desirable.
