Job OverviewWe are a busy recruitment consultancy, providing services to the legal market. Our premises are conveniently located in East Bristol, within easy access of the M32 and the Avon Ring Road near Downend and Staple Hill. Our two directors and team of consultants are seeking expert support from an efficient and organised Recruitment Assistant. The post is full time from 8. 30am to 5. 00pm and flexibility is sometimes required.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe role itself will primarily involve you in adding candidates to our recruitment data base, formatting CV's to house style and telephone duties. There is ample opportunity to develop this role as we develop and expand our business further in 2007.
We seek candidates who have a confident and very professional telephone manner, and are IT literate. Whilst the role does not require a fast typist, since there is a good amount of copying and pasting involved, skills in formatting in Word and reasonably good keyboard skills are needed. You will need to feel very confident around databases, the internet and email. Accurate keyboard skills, good spelling and grammar and an eye for detail is required.
The post will also involve welcoming visitors to the office, dealing with telephone calls from candidates and clients, dealing with general enquiries, liaising with advertising agencies, designers and job sites and assisting with PR and events activities. As a sponsor of Bristol Rugby, you'll be assured of getting involved with lots of corporate hospitality organisation for the next two seasons!
The Directors are also looking for an individual who can offer broad ranging support in the office to include facilities and stationery management, health and safety, HR and maintenance of various suppliers contracts.
Full training will be provided, there is free parking and a good working atmosphere, which is relaxed and friendly. We have an informal dress code at work, enjoy listening to the radio at work, and encourage a sense of humour.
Skills / Qualifications / Experience RequiredThe role may suit someone who is or has been a typist in a recruitment consultancy previously, a secretary / legal secretary, or a confident administrator looking to get into recruitment, perhaps with the view ultimately of becoming a recruiter or a senior administrator. There will be huge potential within our business as we grow for greater involvement, but at the same time we value the input of those who would enjoy a role like this long term too.
