Job OverviewWe are currently seeking a high calibre candidate to fill the position of Motor Trade Insurance Technician for our Commercial Division. This is an excellent opportunity to join our Company as you will be encouraged to develop your own ideas with a view to looking after your own Sales Team. Previous work experience will be preferably from a Motor Trade Insurer or a Motor Insurance Broker. You will need an understanding of Motor Trade Underwriting principles, policy terms and conditions. You may be required to manage activities in the absence of the Commercial Manager.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesProcessing new business enquiries, referrals, renewals and MTA's. Ensure all sales are undertaken in accordance with the Company's compliance processes. Build and maintain productive relationships with Insurers and Suppliers to our mutual benefit. Generate premium income and case count to agreed targets in line with our business plan. Sharing your knowledge and skills with the team through coaching and mentoring.
Skills / Qualifications / Experience RequiredExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, both over the telephone and face to face combined with the ability to learn quickly. Sound working knowledge of Road Risks, Premises and Liability insurances. Working knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word together with accurate keyboard skills. Ability to prioritise your workload by planning and focusing on your tasks. The highest standard of integrity and honesty. Above average numeracy and literacy skills. You must be able to work as part of a busy team and on your own initiative.
Minimum 2yrs+ experience. Educated to 'O' Level in English and Maths.
