Job OverviewThis exciting role is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in their first role as a copywriter. Enthusiastic, creative and diligent, you will need to have a good grasp of English and the ability to apply it in a variety of situations – from brochures and brands, to campaigns and social media content.Duties and ResponsibilitiesYour day-to-day work will include proofreading material for print and publication – often to tight deadlines, so you will need an excellent eye for detail. You will also work proactively alongside the design, marketing and digital media teams, contributing to a wide variety of creative projects as a fully-integrated junior member of the team.Working direct with clients is another key part of this role – through face-to-face meetings, email and by telephone. It is essential you swiftly build up strong working relationships, with a view to gaining a greater understanding of what the client wants to achieve, how best to manage their expectations and how to help make their ideas become a reality. You will also be able to assimilate information and raw content direct from clients – both written and spoken – into informative and interesting content, as well as gaining a solid understanding of their business, products and services. Skills / Qualifications / Experience Required- Strong interest in writing, combined with good spelling and grammar.- Good working knowledge of MS Office essential, with a knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator and online / social media systems advantageous. - Enthusiastic and eager to learn more about the creative industries. - Excellent interpersonal skills – able to work with in-house teams, clients and other contacts. - Proactive and able to work to tight deadlines when necessary. - Good understanding of marketing, media and design advantageous but not essential.
