Job OverviewThis role is not only technically based; you will have the ability to learn other aspects of IT – database/web. 90% of the time you will be working from the office and 10% of the time you will be required to go to Schools/other clients to install new systems, computers etc so you will not be afraid to use your initiative or ask for help from the engineer with you ensuring the questions are answered correctly. You will be required to shadow an Engineer for a week or two and you will be required to take notes – ask questions if you do not understand something they are doing and ask why they do it. You will then slowly be put into the Helpdesk role and you will be required to work on your own but will always have the support.
This Client is willing to train you up and put the time and effort in so you can become qualified and become an asset to the company. They are growing and if you impress them they will keep you on after you have finished your apprenticeship and allow you to move into different departments.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesAs well as working in the company, you shall be assessed within the work place and be required to attend block release at NiTP Training Academy, Conrwall House, 31 Lionel Street, Birmingham, B3 1AP.
Skills / Qualifications / Experience RequiredStrong personality, ability to talk to a wide range of people. Motivated.
A knowledge of IT.
