Job OverviewEnvironmental Technician Location: Welwyn Reporting to: Waste Operations Co-Ordinator Education: Minimum A level or equivalent
Work Experience: 1 - 2 years experience in an operational role on Pharmaceutical site / Waste Management Company.
Duties and Responsibilities- Collect research waste from waste satellite locations on site and transfer to designated storage locations in a safe manner. - Ensure all waste streams are stored correctly and safely in the designated storage areas and all packages are in good condition for transport. - Pack waste streams into correct packages, Label all packages, palletise and secure for shipment- Load containers for shipment off site- Monitoring, control, and housekeeping of waste compounds and areas- Consignment of waste for off site shipments using software system- Completion of documentation- Listing and packing of Laboratory Chemicals- Effluent sampling - Forklift truck driving.
Skills / Qualifications / Experience RequiredSkills:
Computer literate – in particular MS Office Excellent Attention to Detail Good Communication Skills Other
Previous use of SAP an advantage Full Clean driving licence
Forklift licence.
