Job OverviewIntellect is an independent academic publisher of books and journals, focusing on subjects related to art, media, theatre and film. The design of our products and our publicity material is of major significance to our business. As the amount and scope of our work has expanded, we now have a vacancy for a full time in-house graphic designer.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuties will include:
- Designing all marketing materials for Intellect to a specified brief
- Designing all book and journal covers to a specified brief
- Project management of some marketing projects
- Contributing to the marketing team
- Co-ordinating freelancers when necessary
As part of a small team, there will be some other areas of work to which you may be asked to contribute.
Skills / Qualifications / Experience RequiredThe successful candidate will have:
- A general understanding of design within a print publishing context
- Competence in using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop (Acrobat and Illustrator would also be helpful)
- Excellent attention to detail
- A desire to acquire new skills
- Excellent communication skills
