Job Overview

Artis, a performing arts education company that stimulates creativity and excellence in schools is looking for a freelance sales executive with experience in selling services or products to primary school Headteachers in London and the Greater London Area. This role has the potential to become a full time role if you have field sales managerial experience.

The right candidate is an enthusiastic and hardworking individual with a passion for creative learning. A good understanding of primary school education and Headteachers’ priorities is important. Artis is looking for someone who would enjoy selling our creative programmes in face-to-face meetings from September 2012 to July 2013.

The successful candidate will be given targeted leads to follow up in their allocated areas. He or she will organise meetings with Headteachers and present our creative programmes focused on learning through music, drama, dance and film to address priorities such as numeracy, language development, communications, low self-esteem and behaviour for learning. We would expect the candidate to deliver a minimum of 100 meetings with primary Headteachers or Deputy Heads from September to July. In our experience an average of 4 meetings can be carried out in a day. Training for the role, mentoring and observations will take place in the Autumn Term. There will also be opportunities to observe of our work in schools and the training of our Artis Specialists.
 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and generate new business.

Approach and engage potential schools.

Consistently close new business.

Conduct consultative sales meeting with Headteachers, send proposals and do follow-up calls to prospective new schools.

Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the primary education sector, services offered and awareness of the competition, i.e. Pricing, details of services offered etc.

Use CMR database effectively, log calls and fill in data for pipeline management from headquarters.
 

Skills / Qualifications / Experience Required

Requirements.

Previous sales experience is a must and education sales experience a significant advantage; however people with different sales experience and a love for the arts in education should also apply, as full and ongoing training will be provided. A confident, positive and empathetic personality are essential. You must own a mobile phone and computer to be able to work as an Artis field representative.
