Job OverviewThis premier Novotel is an award winning 4*, 630 bedroom, 33 conference room hotel located in Hammersmith. Flagship property of Accor Group, the European leader and amongst the largest global groups in travel, tourism and corporate services.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Director of Sales reports into the General Manager, is a key member of the Executive Committee and is responsible for: - actively managing a team of 16 proactive and reactive sales professionals - overseeing sales activities, in-house promotions, direct mailing, intelligence / public relations, marketing activities and Accor global sales network - strengthening hotel and brand visibility though industry associations - periodically reporting on business results, revenue forecast, business trends, benchmarking, sales strategies and new business initiatives, identifying revenue opportunities increasing sales through our existing accounts, in addition to developing brand awareness and new business opportunities - preparing full sales and marketing annual plan within agreed deadlines - full representation of the hotel in all public events.
Skills / Qualifications / Experience RequiredOf graduate calibre, you will possess a minimum of 5 years' commercial sales experience and proven success in a similar role, possibly within business services but not necessarily in the hotel sector. You will be an excellent communicator, entrepreneurial and proactive in approach and a good team player. You will be expected to show high levels of flexibility and the ability to manage your own time efficiently.
