Job Overview

 To manage and implement the change programme and project portfolio for Network Mortgage Sales.
 Ensure the delivery of key projects meet the time, quality and cost criteria set by the business and to achieve the desired business benefits.
 To develop and maintain an internal MI system that provides relevant and timely information to the Network Mortgage sales division.
 To deputise for the Head of Network Mortgage Sales Operations
 The role holder will be required to combine day to day project management (inc overall planning, budgeting, resource estimation and management of contractors / outsourcers etc) with the additional accountability for the management and development of the team.


Duties and Responsibilities

• Successfully implementing and embedding a portfolio of change into the channel through exceptional engagement and clear / appropriate requirements.
• Leading the pro-active development of business cases, implementation and benefits-delivery of significant productivity improvements.
• Coach and support team members responsible for projects, ensuring best practice and standards are adhered to
• Manage project interdependencies within the portfolio and with projects outside the portfolio • Communicate milestones and interdependencies and options to all key stakeholders • Maintain plan milestone / progress tracking to report to senior management team • Production and maintenance of MI and reports; business planning packs and presentations for senior executives and governance committees
• To make decisions at a senior level on BAU and change projects within the Division
• Deliver change to quality, cost and time criteria set.
• Deliver projects through structured project management methods, controlling project risks and maintaining a consistently high level of communication with those involved.
• Controlling project budgets allocated to ensure no overspends, unless authorised.
• To manage the day to day project related operations
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with key functions including Scottish Widows, General Insurance, Community Bank, SSU
• Monitor, coach and support direct reports to agreed standards to ensure the maximum effectiveness of the team, delegating where appropriate • Proactively promote and develop a high performance culture to enable team members to maximise their potential.


Skills / Qualifications / Experience Required

• Experience of working within the Financial Services Market
• Broad knowledge of Mortgage products • Broad knowledge of the compliance requirements related to Mortgage selling.
• Proactively promote and develop a high performance culture to enable team members to maximise their potential.
• Coach team members in identifying and managing key stakeholders with in their area
• Build a culture of involvement and enrolment throughout the team.
• Project Management experience and ability to delegate activities within a team to achieve project milestones.
• Change Management experience
• Strong IT skills, including ability to use industry standard software (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Visio) to support work activities.
• Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills.
• Good process analysis skills and techniques.
• Previous experience: at least 18 months project management experience and / or managing a team.
