Job OverviewDesign Engineer required to provide drawings and certification data in support of changes to customer aircraft.
Experience of EASA Part 21 DOA procedures is preferred but not essential as training will be provided; however, a clear understanding and interpretation of customer requirements is essential.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo ensure that the requisite mechanical design documentation and related documents are compiled in accordance with Company Procedures and / or regulatory requirements with regards to CS23, 25, 27 and 29.
Skills / Qualifications / Experience RequiredHND / HNC or OND / ONC in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
5 years experience in detail design of parts, aircraft structures or systems and integration desirable.
Have a clear understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
Awareness of regulatory requirements, ie EASA, JAA, FAA is desirable.
CAD proficient.
Able to produce calculations in support of the design activity is desirable.
Knowledge and experience of the requirements of EASA Certification Specifications with respect to cabin interior changes.
