Hi All.

I tend to favour Google Adwords and Directory listings for most of my sales leads.

What do you use? Do you find you get more success from one source more than another?

Maybe if we all use this thread as a brainstorming place, we can share ideas and see if they help grab more trade.

I gave Google Adwords a go and all that transpired was that my Adsense click rate increased!?

So if one wanted to earn money through Adsense using your free Google Adwords vouchers is one way to do it!

For web design work, hitting the phones and word of mouth have proved to be the best ways of generating new business.

Yes I cold call. I don't buy lists of data that may be ancient and from sources unknown.

What I do is scan local papers for business ads and I follow up any website address. I also use a paper directory but they don't like people doing that so I won't name it here but you know it. On the ads within their pages there are often links to websites that don't exist. This is because their fees are horrendous. So ads with dead website links are worth following up.

Now I have my call list. If they don't have a website, I'm calling to find out why not and offer my services etc., if they do have a site I check it over and see if it is all it could be and then call to offer what they don't have.

Useful? (1)
