| Original Message Added : 4 Jul 2012 after checking my stats on freeindex views of last month and the click through rate to my web site i am wondering if my profile is not good enough at attracting people. ![]() i have looked at other sites freeindex and company web sites that are in the same industry as mine and i believe mine is much better (although i would say that )my freeindex had 119 views last month with only 8 clicking through to my company web site. So my question is, is my profile lacking in some way or perhaps it is providing enough information that they don't need to click through? Is there a bench mark for a ctr? free index site: http://www.apachebravemassagefitness.freeindex.co.uk/ my company web site: http://www.apachebrave.co.uk any advice would be welcome |

| Reply : 5 Jul 2012 - (Edited : 5 Jul 2012) In a competitive market a 5%CTR is about normal. (in my experience) Unless there is a very good reason for visitors to click through to your website (a free report, or gift) your CTR will always hover between 5-10%. Personally I find your company name a little ott, why don't you use your name? Also, searchers more than likely will find your Freeindex entry through Google sesrches. Many people will already have seen (and clicked on) your Google Places entry above the Freeindex entry in the search results. They may just click on the Freeindex entry to read your reviews. Hope you find my observations useful. ![]() Rgds Gil

| Reply : 2 Aug 2012 As an aside to the CTR chat above, your main site gets quite a low ranking on the Google Insights speed checker. The site loaded quite slowly for me. Have a look here and see if you can implement the changes it suggests: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights#url=www.apachebrave.co.uk Hopefully this will improve the conversion rate when people get through to your site! |
