Hello everyone,

I need help here, can anyone be kind enough to tell me specifically why my page rank had been downgraded from 3 to 1 ?. Everything was perfect until now. I had read manuals, tutorials without ending.

Now i want to regain my PR3 back, but rumours around the internet is saying the that it may be close to impossible to regain page rank once downgraded, i need a solid and straight forward tips here, please don't ask me to PM you or advertise to me your service, i just need your help.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

My understanding is that Google bases the PageRank value on the PageRank of other websites linking to your website.

Therefore I can only assume that one or more of these websites have been downgraded which has resulted in your website being downgraded.

You could run a Backlink analyser to identify the websites linked to you and then you could run a PageRank checker to see which of these websites have a low PageRank.

Therefore your PageRank value can go up and down.

Hope this helps

Regards

Toolbar Pagerank is a snapshot in time that represents an 'indication' of the importance of your webpages in Google's opinion with relation to the importance and amount of links it sees going to your pages. You should not get wrapped up in it as its purely a 'cosmetic' statistic.

Much more important are your visitor numbers and conversion rate. You should concentrate on providing unique valuable content first and foremost and forget about chasing TBPR which is immediatly outdated and something that you shouldnt worry about.

Forget about 'experts' saying that you cant retain your pagerank once downgraded.

Tool Bar PageRank is Vanity, Rankings and Visitor Numbers are Sanity
