| Reply : 25 Jan 2010 In regards to the website itself, it definitely has the look of "home made" and probably wouldnt do a great deal for your conversion rate. There are a lot of companies that can do good website designs for as little as £299 (just to plug my business lol) and can spread those payments to make it easier...might be worth considering... The question to ask is what return would you get for that 299...if it lead to, say, 2 more customers a month, how long would it take to see a return on the initial investment??

| Reply : 26 Jan 2010 In terms of your wesbite, that's a pretty good effort for your home-grown website. To give you some recommendations of how to improve it, I would recommend you think about consolidating some of the info on the various different pages onto the home page. The benefit being that anyone visiting will instantly have the most important information at hand straightaway and it'll make the site feel that it's answering their basic questions of who is this company, are they any good, what else have they done, what do others think. To give you some specific recommendations, I would suggest you think about adding your contact details on the home page, as well as all your other pages - if you goal is to generate leads then make it as easy as possible for people to contact you. Think about adding a photo of yourself on the site - you refer to a professional and friendly 121 service so include a good, smiling, personable photo so people can see you're not scary to look at (I'm assuming you're not! ;-) ) The customer reviews should also appear on the first page (why not put them on all pages?) as they provide credibility to you and your service - recommendations from others are priceless. Looking at your site overall, the best advice I could give you would be to think about consolidating all your pages into just 1 or 2 pages, but ensure those pages are info-packed with all the things that promote your services, your profile, your recommedations and your contact info. Hope this helps and all the best. Adrian.

| Reply : 26 Jan 2010 Take a look at the free website editor Weebly. There are some excellent templates on there and it's not hard to make a half decent website using it! Also why not take a look at Bartercard - you can sell your products and services for Barterpoints (so to speak) and in return have a website and ad campaign created for you? There are lots of good web designers and web marketers who accept Bartercard. I also have a free internet marketing audit you might find useful to point out a few places you're going wrong. Hope that helps! Claire |

| Reply : 3 Mar 2010 I have recently been directed to a DIY online website creation package called WWW.DOYOUROWNSITE.CO.UK I've been messing about with it today and it seems fairly straightforward and basic. Take a look. You can take a free trial and mess about with it for 30 days. After that there are 3 hosting packages available starting at £2.99 per month. Good luck. Barbara |
