| Original Message Added : 28 Oct 2010 I'm registered as a 'sole trader' in my personal name but I now have a company name. Now do i need to contact HMRC to tell them this and if yes are there any additional costs attached to this? Thanks in advance. |

When you complete your self assessment tax return you will have the space to put the name there. As regards to costs - if you mean tax, tax rates will not be any different. The same applies to accountancy fees. I hope this helps. Accountants in Patten and Accountants in Mitcham Southside Accountants |

| Reply : 28 Oct 2010 No not a limited company. So as far as the HMRC are concerned my business name is still 'my name' and not this new company name I have? I trade using my new company name now (Printception) my stationery/invoices etc has this name on, so I'm not doing anything wrong and I don't need to do anything? |

| Reply : 28 Oct 2010 By the way what's a fair fee for an accountant to charge to fill out my end of year tax form? |
