Hi has anybody heard of this company, they have called today stating they can cut my NI bill, they said they could take on my PAYE staff pay them and I won't have to pay employers NI as they are under an umbrella dispensation so they do not have to pay employers NI.  Sounds to good to be true, could not find anything bad on internet about them or good either.  They said that I would just pay them a 5% fee.

Hi I have had a word with my accountant and he has advised against dealing with this company, so make your own judgement if you are contacted. I have informed them i do not wish to do business with them.

Hello

they are on the web http://www.cpmcontracting.co.uk/faqs/

it would appear they have set themselves up as tax and contract advisers manly aimed at the construction industry targeting company's to manage those subcontractors who have a CIS Status

I guess they would just ask / encourage your employees to become self employed subcontractors

anyone taking this option would have to pay there own NIC, and register with HMRC as a subcontractor and apply for a cis card

that would of course save you having to pay employers contributions, but i would have thought outside of the construction industry most businesses would not really be eligible

if they try to exploit the system which has been set up mainly for the construction industry, Doormen security companies Etc who employ a large part of self employed labour and tradesmen Working on multiple and temporary sites

I don't think they are doing anything wrong if they are just trying to drum up new business, by cold calling.........i suppose it depends on the advise they are encouraging businesses to take..?

Hi thanks for your reply, they told me that my staff would still be Paye and they would pay that, they said they and an umbrella dispensation so they did not have to pay the same amount of employers NI. They even offered  to pay my staff then send me an invoice for the payment plus vat. You know what they say, if something sounds to good to be true in generally is.  So think i will steer clear of this.

CPM Contracting saves you money and gives you greater flexibility by engaging your workforce on a self-employed basis.

Equally important, as a CPM client, your tax and employment risks vanish. We rovides a broad range of professional services, supporting an organisation’s customer facing and back office processes. Many of these services below can support clients across our nine markets, with some specialist services developed to service clients in niche market segments. "

would   it really save you cash..? the time you pay there fee of 5% and vat on top of 20% making a total of 25% above your current wages bill

would that 25% be cheaper than paying employers contributions ? ....... i don't know

Well not sure, they rang me again today actually and offered to put all the wages up front so no cost to me. I said no. They said they did all the staff at safestyle uk.  Well steering clear of it anyway.

Good morning

there could be other complications to this i think as your staff would in theory would be employed by them as subcontractors

they could i suppose send them to work as temp staff for other company's i don't think i would risk that i can see where they come from and the possible benefits to you, but it could be opening a big can of worms

why not invite them to free index to explain how it all works ......an old saying springs to mind

" there ain't no such thing as a free lunch"......Surprised
