Hi Michael

You are on the Google Places map, (when one searches for 'kitchen companies in Preston') but as you are a brand-new listing, you are some way down the list.

Just work on the Google-optimisation (SEO) and online promotion of your site, so Google will see that you are an important supplier in Preston. (lots of work to be done)

P.S. Just a useful tip (I found you without any trouble) If you are hoping that this post will make lots of people click on your website, the high bounce rate will just damage your rating.

Keep at it.

Rgds

Hi

The tip refers to your post, not the Google Places entry.

Low quality traffic (people who are not really interested in what you have to offer) should be discouraged.  The whole 'bounce rate' thing makes interesting reading. (please Google it)

Kind regards

Gil

Bounce rate is the percentage of single-page visits or visits in which the person left your site from the entrance (landing) page. if they dont stay long you get an high bounce rate.

Good point Mike.

About time some realised that we are not all seo wizards.

Wonder how good they would be with a plumbing query ?

Hi

Not trying to be an 'arse', Smile I just meant that it makes more sense if you read about bounce rates in more detail.

(Thanks for the link Andy)

if you read your post in answer to my query i comes across as that.

of all the forums i`m part of, sorry but this one seems to have the most arrogant members on.

i say this because i have often got a shirty one line answer.

forums are about asking and giving advice.

like the man said about the plumbing question.

i get asked the most basic questions about plumbing all the time and always give a well mannered answer.

Hi,

It takes about two weeks to show for a search on your phone no or ( business name and address ) in google maps. After about two weeks you will be ranked by the value of your other web content and reviews and appear somewhere in a Places 7 Pack search result for one of your categories.

Cheers. Andrew.
