Before you start purchasing or paying someone - check out the Penguin and Panda recent updates by Google. Sites are beginning to be penalised for payment of backward links.

We've cancelled our SEO and are now emailing people direct within our sector to get two-way links and build up the networking at the same time.

Good luck!

two way links also get penalised as it looks like you have just requested an exchange and some on irrelevant sites. The best route is Whitehat practices after the updates this is what Google views as "good".

This is a really good article that explains both:

Hi,

Unless you know for sure what you are doing I would be vary cautious as if you get it wrong there is a chance that the likes of Google will penalise you. Like anything research it carefully and be choosy about whose links you accept. As an alternative consider getting websites and other businesses that compliment your services to link to your site, either one way or mutually exchange links.

Hello Elliot,

We are SEO professionals so we would like to inform you that its a bad SEO practise since the Google panda and Google penguin updates. If you are looking to promote your website you should get your SEO done using White hat practises.

We can also help you in the regard.

We have also send you an email at your contact us page of website. Do check it out.

Looking forward to hear from you.

Thanks

Victoria

Short term / quick / grey or black SEO techniques will never work long term, built plenty of quality content before you worry about links and also think your website name is far too long
