If you are a business you then have the option to add a company description, photos and enhance your page by adding a website link and other details about your business. This is all completely free. I have forgotton my Password You can reset your password by entering your email address in the password reset form. We will then send you an email containing a secure link allowing you to reset your password. I have forgotton my Username Your username is your email address. If your email address has changed, try logging in with the email address you had before. Once logged in you can change your email address in your Account Settings. If you are having problems, please contact us. My postcode isn't accepted during the signup process. Please make sure that you correctly use the number zero or the letter O when specifying your postcode. If your postcode still cannot be found, please contact us with your full address and postcode and we will add it to the system. Can my business be listed more than once on FreeIndex? Businesses can only be listed once on the site. If you run more than one legitimate business you’ll need to create a new account for any additional businesses you want to add. Please use a different email address, and make sure it is evidently distinct from your other businesses - so our content team doesn't mistakenly reject it for being duplicate. You cannot however have multiple accounts for the same business. This can happen if you add your business but are unaware that someone else in your organisation has already done so. If this is the case, what will probaly happen is that the newly added business will be rejected. You'll need to contact us to give you control of the existing account. If you find that a business is listed more than once, please contact us to let us know. My Business is part of a Franchise, can I sign up? We allow franchisees to sign up only when their head office has signed up. All franchises are then listed on the head office page and within their individual locations. Ask your head office to sign up if they haven’t already. I have registered but not received an account activation email. It’s worth checking your junk folder to see if the email we have sent you has been mistakenly sent there. In a very small amount of cases, email providers have overly strict anti-spam policies that may block our emails. You can resend the Activation Email to your email address by logging in using the username and password you signed up with and then clicking on the resend activation email link. Why has my account been disabled? There are some common reasons why your account may have been disabled. Sometimes we get it wrong. Here's a list of the most common ones and what to do about it.
Closing your Account - Businesses If you want to hide your FreeIndex listing, you can simply opt to turn your listing off, rather than closing your account completely. To do this, login to MyFreeIndex, select ‘Account Settings’ from the menu on the left, then click on ‘Enable/Disable your Business’ and follow the prompts. If you disable your FreeIndex listing, then your company will not be displayed on the site, and you will not get any emails from FreeIndex if you do this, although your account will remain active. Should you wish to completely remove your details from FreeIndex and close your account, please go to ‘Account Settings’ within My FreeIndex and then click on the option marked "Account Termination". Your account will then be completely closed and all of your business details will be removed from the site. Closing your Account - Users To close your user account, please go to ‘Account Settings’ within My FreeIndex and then click on the option marked "Account Termination". Your account will then be closed.
