There are a number of companies now that specialise in offering one week van insurance, weekend van insurance, one day van insurance and all other combinations of anything up to and beyond 28 days worth of cover. Other companies don't specialise in van insurance but are still focused entirely on the short term market, in which case you should get an equally tailor-made insurance policy. It just means that you aren't paying extra for all the annual subscribers and the inevitable increase in risk attached to longer policies. Though that's not to say that some of the larger and more generic insurance companies don't offer extremely competitve rates.

One week van insurance is often used by people who are going on holiday and plan to share the driving, or if you're taking a series of test drives over the course of the week. People often insure their van on a weekly basis if they're moving house over some distance, and it'll take the week to move everything themselves.
